Human Rights
Hard-hitting, analytical coverage of global human rights issues has long
been a hallmark of Globalvision's film and video work, beginning with our
groundbreaking anti-apartheid television series South Africa Now, which ran
weekly in the United States and fifteen other countries between 1988-91,
and continuing with its successor series, Rights & Wrongs: Human Rights
Television, which aired weekly worldwide between 1992-96.
Numerous documentaries -- from 1990's Nelson Mandela: Free At Last to 1996's
Yellow Wasps: Anatomy of a War Crime and, most recently, Sowing Seeds,
Reaping Peace -- have also arisen out of our ongoing involvement with the
field of human rights.
Rights and Wrongs: Human Rights Television
Half-hour weekly series about international human rights issues broadcast on dozens of international television systems as well as on more than 150 U.S. public television stations. Amnesty International Media Spotlight Award, 1997; National Educational Media Network, Gold Apple Award, 1995; Telly Award, 1995; Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Social Programming, 1994.
