Working with The World Wildlife Foundation and the government of Tanzania, ABB chose Ngarambe as a model village for its "Access to Electricity" project. This short film, designed to be used as a tool to expand the project to other areas of the world, tells the story of how electricity arrived in Ngarambe in a simple, sunrise to sunset "day in the life" manner, and includes footage of the celebration that occurred on the "Day the Lights Came On." The film has won three awards to date: The Videographer Awards "Award of Distinction", Worldfest Houston's "Platinum Remi" and The Aurora Awards "Platinum Best of Show."
