Charene Zalis is a consultant for Globalvision Inc. in New York. At Globalvision, she has produced for "Rights & Wrongs," the PBS series on human
rights, and was associate producer of the Frontline documentary "The Arming of Saudi Arabia." Zalis has also produced for several projects in the
Middle East and Asia for Globalvision and others, including the documentary "Seeds of Peace." In Singapore, she produced a 13-part series for Asia
Business News called "Managing Asia." Zalis has worked as an associate producer for NBC News and Sports. She produced segments for NBC's coverage of
the Summer Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992, and won an Emmy Award for the NBC special "2/25/64: The Championship," a documentary about the Clay-Liston
title fight of 1964. She began her career as a production associate for NBC News on the Assignment Desk and the Sunrise and Nightly News programs.
Now based in San Francisco, Zalis recently developed a pilot script for Fox Television and has produced for The Working Group, and several non-profit
organizations. Zalis graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in 1985.
